I was trying to take the audio off of a video file I'm working on that is .mod. It doesn't seem to recognize those files as being any kind of media at all. When I put it in the movie maker the video works, the audio shows that there is audio there, but it doesn't play or work.

Hello everyone, this is my first post and really my first time trying to use any kind of video or audio editing program. I was looking through some guides on what to do, but I'm getting kind of confused because people talk about buttons I don't think I have. Could someone give me a good link where to find the most up-to-date and full version of the movie-maker please? I'm about to go and start reading through the audio section and try to get as much info as I can before I start messing ...

So if I want to turn it into audio only I should just download Freemake Video Converter and turn it into audio only that way?

I also tried the free converter thing and it didn't work. Apparently I need something to convert it from a video clip to something else first? It is extension .mod. The freemake thing doesnt recognize it as a supported filetype.
