I found a pretty lame fix to my no preview problem recently. When you save your project, make sure you save it when it is in STORY MODE not TIMELINE MODE. Everytime I saved in timeline mode I could not get the preview to work. It works everytime now that I save in STORY MODE. Also make sure that the program uses its default decoders, WMT Import Filter worked for me. Another fun Microsoft "glitch"...
