Cannot save movie to the specified location. 11/22/2016 11:06:31 PM   (Total replies: 0)
I've been having this issue a lot lately, and it's getting annoying. It's happening with different footage and audio, even when it's all wmv and wma. I have had luck saving everything into smaller parts, but that is time consuming, frustrating, and degrades the qualities. My videos are only around three minutes long, too. Is there any way to fix this? I don't think the files themselves are the issue.

WMM suddenly crashing when adding effects? 11/25/2015 9:31:04 PM   (Total replies: 0)
I was working on a video, and everything was going fine. There were no problems adding effects one minute, then the next, it started crashing every time I tried to add any effect.

My videos are missing in Collection? 10/24/2015 12:24:01 AM   (Total replies: 1)
Everything was fine last time, but now, all my video clips are missing. I opened one of my recent projects, and it plays fine, so the clips haven't somehow been deleted from my collections. I just can't see them.O_O

I found my Collections file, and it was only 5 KB. I replaced it with an older one I had backed up that was over 8,000 KB and noticed that it magically becomes 5 KB every time I open Movie Maker...

Getting that "cannot save" thing again... 3/2/2015 5:06:05 PM   (Total replies: 0)
I spent hours getting, uploading, and going through this footage, then making my video. It's only a little over three minutes in length, but I'm getting that saving error message again, which is crushing, considering all the effort that went into making this. I tried saving the video in parts, and even converting the episode that makes up the beginning parts of the video, but with no luck. All the files are wmv, too, so I don't know why this is happening.

Movie stops saving halfway? 5/16/2011 7:38:59 PM   (Total replies: 2)
I'm really not sure what could be the problem. The movie seems to be saving at a nice pace, then about halfway through, I get the general error message, where it tell you it couldn't save and asks you to make sure the source files are still available, space is free, etc. But in previous cases, I could at least come up with some excuse as to why it was happening, but I can't now. Lately, movies have been saving really well for me. All video for this project is in wmv format, and the audio ...

I had already tried rebooting my computer. The issue did seem to be caused by a part of the clip. But the problem keeps popping up. With multiple files. I don't get what's going on, since it seems unlikely I keep ending up with corrupted files or something. They all play fine, and I used Media Cope to convert them, which seems to be commonly-used. I have a very good anti-virus program, and it has not picked up any problems and said the program was safe. So why on earth does this keep ...

That's not the problem. For the record, I tried that solution when the other person suggested it. It's problems with specifics parts of the files-of the clips.

I can't convert the files in Movie Maker. That's why I had to use a converter program in the first place. I don't know if it's a codec problem, but I don't think so. It's still happening, with files from a variety of sources.

Not really much point, given the length. Most of the movies save fine, save for a few small parts. The clips I had before this problem worked fine last time I checked. I believe the codec use to convert the videos was ffmpeg. I can't convert them again, because I don't have the original sources files anymore.
