I know I'm late, but I don't see the problem. If you don't want Vista to go online than never connect it, unplug your RJ45 cable and rip your wifi antenna.

I know it's late reply, but you better invest in migrating at least to win 7 from vista. But you can apply for a medal for still using it.

WME file is a session settings file , I don't think it holds and screen video. how many MB is your wme file?

Well, I thought WMM6 will work with HDV but not here... I can import the file and see the thumbnail even load it to the time line but all I see is black screen when played. And surly no render to WMV. MP10 play the file very well on my 7/64SP1 system.
