I'm a brand new user as of today. I have in the past used VirtualDub for basic home movie clip sharing, but it's a pretty quirky editor (it's not always exact). Now...I feel like a little foolish asking, because I feel like I'm missing the obvious. I assumed the trim points were for editing portions out, not in. I tried editing again, and thought it would be a good idea to post an example: A) I start with a 21 second clip. I want to delete the middle section (7 second to 14 second mark). C) Now instead of deleting that section of the video, it's the only part remaining on the storyboard. Any ideas?

Thanks PapaJohn. I think of all the stuff I've edited over the years (I was a broadcast radio guy for many years) and this way of editing requires re-training my brain...maybe it won't seem so arse backwards if I get used to it. Too bad, because for casual movie making it's otherwise a nice user-friendly utility.
