AVI to WMV conversion 9/13/2012 6:41:58 PM   (Total replies: 6)
I Googled this, but every web site will add something I do not want along with the conversion application. They want to add a tool bar or search engine, or who knows. They are very sneaky too. You can deny the installation of unwanted programs, but they will sneak them in. Has anyone used such a conversion program without the crap? and if so, will you tell me what it is? Thanks, Bob Burns

Thank you, I downloaded and installed FreeMake Video Converter, and I think I did so without anything that I didn't want. (Keeping fingers crossed.) Now I need advice on how to add MP3 music to the WMV file. Bob

Editing wmv files 1/13/2012 1:45:56 PM   (Total replies: 1)
I made a slide show using PhotoStory3. I used JPGs and an MP3 file for the background music. After I looked at it I found that I wanted to change a few things, but I could not find out how to edit the file. Is there a way to edit a wmv file? and if so what is the procedure? Bob Burns

Reducing size of a WMV file 5/22/2012 11:11:01 AM   (Total replies: 1)
I have made a WMV file combining an AVI file and a MP3 file. It is 52 MB, and Youtube deletes it because it is too large. How can I reduce the size of the WMV file? Bob

I guess my question should have been: "How do I shorten the length (duration) of the AVI file? Bob

trim from the end of the video until it is under the duration you want (10 minutes? 15 minutes?) That's my problem. I don't know how to do that. I'd like to trim some of the beginning of the video. The WMV file is 50MB and 7 minutes long. Bob

I looked closer at the WMV file, and it is 52 MB, and Youtube deleted it because it is too large. And I don't like the diminished quality with doing it the other way. I thought about uploading just the AVI file to Youtube, but my computer says that it is 333 MB. ?? When I use it in combination with a MP3 file the output WMV file is only 52 MB. Anyway, I'm going to try just the AVI without the music and see what happens. BTW How do I delete a file from YouTube? Bob

I am using FireFox ver.12.0. It uploads, and it processes it, then there is about a 3 minute wait. Then I 'm informed that the file is too large, and that they have deleted it. Bob
