Why can't we just uninstall the demo packages? Why back them up?

Vegas which is created by Sony is another software that can be used to create movies. ;)

Josh, You're posting in the wrong location. :( As PapaJohn explained to you earlier, you just can't move them from a program into WMM. Each software works differently and the software you're interested in copying belongs to Sony Vegas; WMM belongs to Microsoft. That being said, PapaJohn explained that you would have to create your own xml codes to attempt to recreate the effect. If you're asking where you can find that, then go to <a ...

Sorry I needed to correct the post.... You're posting in the wrong location. :( As PapaJohn explained to you earlier, you just can't move them from a program into WMM. Josh, Create a new post and in the subject line, mention the type ofr effect/transition you are looking for. However, I don't know anyone on here who is going to pull up Vegas and attempt to recreate all of their transitions, effects for WMM which was why I referred to Window's website. Have you looked at all the new things Rehan, Blaine, MMK, PatrickL, etc have created? They have some wonderful stuff that Vegas doesn't have. :-)

Re: how do i convert a MSWMM to WMV, .AVI, .MOV, and .MPG 10/26/2008 9:24:53 PM (Total replies: 1)
AngelxArya, welcome to the forum :) MSWMM is a file that WMM creates when you edit imported video, audio, etc and add effects/transitions to your project. The MSWMM is basically saving what you want as a video file but isn't a video file onto itself. To create a video file you have to "Save as Movie". Now as far as some of your videos coming in black, what are the extension files that you imported into WMM? It sounds like it might clips with extensions that are not compatible with WMM. ...

Your extension files are like .AVI, .MOV .MPEG2, etc. If your files happen to be .AVI then that may be your issue. AVI is what is known as a container format and it may or may not work in Movie Maker. It all depends which codec was used to create the file. You can use a converter compatible with WMM to convert them to either AVI or WMV. Media Converter is a good option. I've provided the link for you below. :) <a ...
