| I think I am game to try this out Patrick, albeit that I now have 2.6 working with all my custom transitions etc [but may not be able to edit them anymore? - but have my XP machine up and going again], AND my one look at MM Vista left me cold.
But to clear up one issue, you say "collections" in the help file so are you simply talkink of the file collections or is this about all the save, transitions as well? |

| OK, after having huge files numbers in collections in early times I now clear the collections after every completed project so as not to confuse myself, so seems I don't really need to use your application
But what is ShaderTFX please? |

| well Patrick, you have certainly been a busy boy, some really nice effects there
I like the stacker one especially
I tried out MM 6 yesterday to make one of my google earth movies and all went well, I saved it as a VBR, ready to convert to flash for the web
only problem at present is VideoZilla takes 15 minutes to convert a 40 second clip to flv, and I paid $35 for it so don't feel like paying out again. Know of any free flv converters? |

| well apparently utube has recently switched to converting to mp4 recently - or at least that is what they offer back to you
I notice using Vista/IE7 also that the temp directory now "codifies" files into jpgs of all things, maximum 49k size, but obviously "compacting" a lot of information |

| well yes, I have now had 3 notices [from about 100 movies posted] from UTube re music I used as background. Please consider:
1. post movie at your own site, eg link which contains 2 of the movies with notices. Also you get to use better quality than at Utube
2. utube/google is just posturing [calling the kettle black] here as it is itself the biggest infringer [and it is not sufficient to say this image may infringe]
3. the notice to ... |

| So if I take an MP# I own and Create it with an image of the artist that sings the song and create a movie with just that image. Is that a vioation of the law?
------------------
well you would need to TEST the law [or rather the whole ONUS rests on the person who wishes to CLAIM copyright]
first thing to understand is law is NOT legislation but case law, and case law says you need to do very little to escape any potential case
second thing to understand is a person does not HAVE a ... |

| but that is just the point
when I made eg my Moto GP videos part of the "art" was to blend the music to the video [which according to Copyright Act makes me safe from infringment]
same as when I use BillyMusic from PS3. I first make video and if say 58 seconds I then make music exactly 58 secs so it has a proper start/end, plus I play around with all the settings to get the most appropriate sound
the thought of just grabbing a bit of moronic "UTube music" would be counter productive ... |

| I have recently put together some packages to feature video [and more, incl blogs] at your own web site.
All is explained at my Home of Homes [below] via the "Your KTab" and "Your UTube" buttons up top
and yeah, just used one myself to feature some Wilbury stuff, downloaded as mp4 from UTube
[working on active url ...... (thinks)]
ahhh, looks like this works
