Re: Preview problem after adding transition 5/3/2007 11:43:58 PM   (Total replies: 0)
I have had similar problems to these where imported clips suddenly stopped previewing. One thing that worked for me a few times was to save and exit WMM then reopen again. Initially this occured not long after I installed a Codec pack for Vista. I went back to the Restore Point and it went away... for a while! Hopefully Microsoft are looking at this issue... Cheers Spot

Oh yeah!... pretty happy with that last one CG. I'm just starting out in the Vista MM world and have been watching this space for some technical wizardry to emerge! Looks like it's starting... :-) Looking forward to more! cheers Spot

WMM or Photostory 5/3/2007 11:13:09 PM   (Total replies: 1)
Hi all, I am putting together a DVD of various family photos and video clips using WMM. Reading through these forums I see comments about PS3 and wonder if I should use that also? Is there any advantage to using PS3 for the photos (would be in sections) and then importing the outputted files to WMM for inclusion with video and titles etc. and then the final render? I am running Vista Home Prem. Cheers Spot

Saving PS3 for MM project 5/16/2007 7:18:56 PM   (Total replies: 1)
Hi gurus, I'm sure this has been covered at some time but can't find it! I have made a stack of PS3 projects and now want to import them into a large, complex moviemaker (Vista) project containing video, photostories and music. The MM project will then be published for viewing on DVD (PAL). 1. Which export profile from PS3 should I use? (I'm thinking 1024x768) 2. Does this effect the profile used for MM to go to DVD? (this will probably be DV-AVI or a PapaJohn profile to avoid ...

Ok, thanks for the tip Blaine. I guess I just went for the highest possible output, forgetting that TVs can't display all that resolution. Gotta love this forum! Cheers Spot

Credits - Video Squeeze 5/7/2007 11:30:24 PM   (Total replies: 1)
When using the "Credits - Video squeeze" option (where the text becomes an overlay) the running video is squashed out of proportion to the top or side. Is there a way to make some video or images (in Photostory maybe) that will be sized so that they maintain their proportions? For example an image is shown and squashed up to the top but then switches to correctly sized ones? Hopefully this makes sense! Cheers Spot

Running funpacks on vista 5/3/2007 11:20:38 PM   (Total replies: 1)
Can the XP WMM add-ons (funpacks) be used with the Vista (ver6) of WMM? Just wondering if it is worth downloading them. Cheers Spot

Thanks Considerate Guy, that's exactly what I want to do, except the file comes down as an .exe file. This will not run on a Vista PC. Has anyone successfully used these with Vista? Cheers Spot
