Searching for Effects 6/10/2014 3:42:03 AM   (Total replies: 2)
Hello all, Just a quick query as I was wondering whether anyone could direct me towards any VFX packs which contain a certain few WMM 6.0 effects. I'd also be happy to take any advice if there are any tricks for doing these? Namely, I am looking for the following effects (the important thing for each one is that I want the video to keep playing throughout the effect): A zoom and pan. So you have a zoomed in view of the left hand side of the video (for example) and it pans across to the ...

Music Files Extending and Repeating 6/7/2014 7:03:30 PM   (Total replies: 1)
So, I've been trying to add some music I downloaded to a project I've been working on recently. All well and good, I'd normally download the file (MP3s), pull them into WMM 6.0 and then I can cut and sync them with the video. I've done it before and usually haven't had any problems. However, today when trying to add some songs I encountered several issues. I'll explain using one example (I had the same problem with several different files): first of all, the original music piece was only ...

Convert from .mp3 to .mp3 again? I'll try changing the files to .wav/.wma formats now though.

I'll remember that for any future issues, however I tried converting the files to .wav format and that sorted out any issues, so I hope I won't need to worry about it again.

Customising Subtitles 1/24/2013 10:08:20 AM   (Total replies: 1)
Hey all, Another quick question here, which I felt I would rather give a separate thread to keep things neat. I intend to add subtitles to a video I am editing the thing is the current "subtitle" title effect in WMM is only ever at the bottom and I am wondering if anyone knows of any custom title pack which allows you to position your subtitles all around the video. A cherry on top of this would be if there was another pack, or indeed the same pack, which allowed you to then place extra ...

Re: Customising Subtitles 2/17/2013 4:55:42 PM   (Total replies: 1)
Okay, so I've been checking out your answers here and I think that my best bet lies with using Windows Live Movie Maker (I do run Windows 7 like you guessed). The problem is, whenever I publish a video from WLMM it always ends up with the video in the middle surrounded by a massive black outline... No matter what ratio I save the file as. Is there anything I can do about this? I'd rather avoid publishing all of these with titles over them all and then have to run them through WMM 6 to resize ...

And actually I don't think I would be able to change it back to a decent aspect ratio afterwards anyway... Essentially it's looking like I need some sort of custom titles FX pack...

Admittedly I did only try it with one small clip but I think that, that shouldn't make any difference. The clip is in 1280x720 (16:9) aspect ratio and when I tried publishing it in this format in WLMM (not Movie Maker 6.0) the whole clip was surrounded by black bars. There might have originally been some small black bars due to the aspect ratio, but only what you would expect and nothing substantial. Also, when publishing the same clip in Movie Maker 6.0 (with less satisfactory subtitles) ...

I'd like to bump this thread by asking my question again with a few extra points. So essentially, I am still wanting to try and find a way of positioning subtitles wherever I want them in my videos, exactly like one can do with Windows 7/8 editing software (Windows Live Movie Maker). I WOULD use WLMM for adding subtitles but for some reason when publishing videos using that I end up with a huge letterbox (both horizontal and vertical black bars around the video) which kind of renders the ...

Re: More Subtle Titles 2/19/2013 1:59:22 PM   (Total replies: 1)
I copied and pasted this file into the right folder under the title "subtitle.xml" Unfortunately I can't actually find the custom subtitles anywhere in the titles section. Have I do something wrong? And these are usable for Movie Maker 6.0, I am right there aren't I?
