I'd like to know where in the Programs and Features area of my old computer, that I could find the WMM 6.0 to put it on a Flashdrive and then install it onto my new computer that has Windows 10. My old computer had Windows Vista.

When I downloaded the version from the link you provided, my computer says ' the file cannot be imported because the codec required to play the file is not installed on your computer. I have Windows 10 and there are regular updates, so I don't know where to get codecs to make this work- do you? Thanks.

After the downloads, when I opened WMM, suddenly the preview pane is black. And although I can bring in a movie by double clicking in my video file, into the timeline, I cannot see or hear anything in the preview ...

Thank you for replying to my post. Just so you know, before you answered my question, I did delete the VLC media player anyway thinking that it might help, but it didn't. And I even did a system restore point on my computer, to bring it back in time before everything got messed up, but that didn't fix or help the problem either. Anyway, I did download Freemake Video Converter and converted a couple movies I had on my computer into .WMV. I was then able to import them into WMM 6.0 and edit as ...

The only project I had was a 16 minute movie with music, that I was cutting sections out of, to make it a 2 minute video. I had many cuts, so it was all pieced together. It was only on my PC and it always showed up in the preview pane. I had never used my Movie Maker 6.0 before this and so I didn't know at the time you could "Publish to this computer" and then reopen it and continue to cut and piece the video-- so each time I'd attempt to shorten the movie and make different versions under 2 ...
