Leon, Start here.. www.papajohn.org he has a section called problem solving then . Within the Hardware Acceleration and Codecs section he describes why Movie Maker will sometimes crash and the fixes for it. About your drivers... For the most part if you go to windowsupdate.microsoft.com and have the latest drivers/patches available everything should work.

Open Movie Maker 2 and select from the top menu, Help then About - You should see Windows Movie Maker version 2.0.3312.0 or maybe 2.0.xxx incase my Plus! add-on made the version change. Also I just checked my .exe file and it's version 2.0.3312.0 as well... It sounds like you have Movie Maker 1 Look in C:\Program Files\Movie Maker for moviemk.exe and see if you have version 2.0.3312.0. I hope that helps. Bill

MSCam came from the Microsoft Office 97 CD... It was under CD extras or something of that nature... See if you can find an old Office 97 CD and try installing the file... Good Luck!
