Few moving clip effects/transitions (PIP Plus)

I thought I'd share a few effects I made myself with the help of several folk on here (Rehan, considerate guy, hitthebongo, Papa John etc - you all know who you are, yous never shut up!)

So - to start, a Pong effect for the old farts out there:

In the preview it looks a bit mental - put it on a clip that's about 10 seconds long and you can appreciate it more, haha.

This one is much simpler, it starts off small in the centre of the screen and then zooms out to full screen - you can put a title on the top of it and have words above and below the clip (Sur and Subtitle multi-title is a good one to use on this):

I've also done transitions - Rehan I think posted a transition before called PIP+ Transparent Zoom. Well - he only did it one way, zooming out to a tiny clip, and then it'd zoom back in to complete the transition. I edited it so it zoomed right in on the clip instead - basically, a reverse of how it works.

On top of all that - I did a few more clip effects where it makes the clip smaller, so in case you want to have a few clips on screen at once you can. First, here's one you can use Rehan's split screen transitions on, this is for SPLIT: Vertical transition:

The above two effects make the clip half the size for width, meaning you can have a proper split screen of two clips - and not just a split which cuts out half of each clip.

If you want to do it the other way - to use the SPLIT: Horizontal transition instead, I did that too.

This'll probably be common knowledge to guys like Rehan anyway but some newbies with PIP Plus may appreciate them, heh. I know it's a lot to take in for one post but I just thought I'd share everything I've done in WMM - the result of my tinkering with effects and transitions, hopefully one or two people will find them useful.

Hi Kingjad, well done. Keep it up. Please post a sample movie showing off these effects too so it is easier for the quick readers to appreciate what you are talking about.

Pong - Effect

The Split Screen Effects are a gem. I think the Pong effect is very creative too!

1st one may be better for fonts or titles.
2nd one is neat and I like the best
3rd and 4th is alrigh nothing special to me

This is great to see more and more people sharing their creations. Well done.

Stick and hoop was of course my favourite game as a kid and playing with my evil kenevil battery powered toy bike, but PONG came a very close second!......Who am I kidding - Pong was the best thing EVER !

oo man i've been lookin for this transition for a while and i can't seem to have it work on my WMM...i dunno wat to do...maybe i saved it wrong or sumthing. hopefully someone can help me with this

I think there's a problem with the way i saved this as .xml, because i've saved a good 7-8 different effects and transitions on notepad and they have all worked fine...if someone could clarify exactly how to save this in notepad in the AddTFX folder, that would be great. REALLY want this effect tho lol

no...i don't think I do anyway. Where could i check to see if i do?? Sry if that seems as a bit of a dumb question but i'm rather new to the xml stuff...

I do however have rehan's SPLIT pack downloaded...i thought that's all you needed for this effect to work.

It sounds like you don't have PIP+ installed.
Easy check - have a look at your Video Transitions - you should have a few starting with the name PIP+

Ok, someone help me pls. Thanks Kingjad, I really like these effects! I have c/p these but they are not showing up WMM. What will they be called under my transitions or effects? I really want to use these effects, esp. the second and third one...can someone help me pls. Would it help if I posted the XML here to make sure that I have copied it right? ANy help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

oh, I forgot to mention, I do have PIP Plus installed, atleast I think I do, I did register for it and I have 2 transitions named PIP and PIP 5x5. So can anyone help me. Why I cant find the transitions/effects that Kingjad posted?

They appear to all be Effects. The names would be in the lines in the XML that start with <Effect name=..., so look for ones starting PIP Plus, PIP+ and 'a PIP plus'.

Ok Blaine..aside from the question aboeve. I do have have a transition called 5x5 and PIP 5x5, but not sure how to use them. I applied them to my slideshow but it does not do anything. What am I doing wrong. Do I need to overlap it, and if I do, how to I do that? Seems like everytime I try to overlap pictures over another, it does not overlap them, but increase the duration of of my clip. Thanks for your time.
