Aspect ratio

I imported a HD video clip into Windows Movie Maker Live. However the clip appears crunched together from the top and bottom with a large black space at the bottom. Attempted to change the aspect ration but no improvement. I am using Windows 7.

Welcome to the forums.

If you haven't done so, go to the Project tab in Movie Maker and set the aspect ratio to 16:9.

For me, it didn't work. Could you please give more options what could be wrong?
