Titles in Movie Maker

How can you extend a title (I need 10 seconds) in Move Maker Live without having the text of the title bleed over into the video that follows it? Also, is there a way to stop the scroll effect in the credits? I tried to work around this by adding a title at the end, but it won't allow this since the title by default goes at the beginning of the clip. Thanks.

A title is really two parts. There is a solid color title background that is added to the video track and then there is text (a caption) that appears over it.

Double-click on the *image* and you'll go to the Video Tools | Edit tab. From there, change the duration. It will change the duration of both the background slide and the text.

If you instead just change the duration of the *text* from the Text Tools tab, the background slide will not change. That's probably why you are seeing the text extend into the next photo.

As for where a title slide appears, it should appear just before the playback marker. So if you are on the first slide, it will be before it. If you are on the last slide, it will appear before that. What you want is for it to appear *after*, but you can't do that directly. Instead, just let Movie Maker create a title wherever it will. Then select the clip and drag it to the end of your project.
