Downsides to YouTube
Posted: 22 Mar 2012 01:32 PM
I am thinking of posting my video to YouTube. There are pages of legaleze stuff that one has to agree to which I am sure I cannot understand -- or that YouTube lawyers can spin any way they want.

Are there any discussions on any of these boards in which posters have had bad experiences or want to offer cautions?

Thanks.

Thanks to all for your help.

Basically you agree you own the content that you upload to YouTube. If you upload copyrighted material you might find that you get a warning (and the video now gets shown with ads), the audio is removed completely and you have the option to replace it, the clip gets removed, or your account gets removed.

You might want to ask this in the YouTube forums
