best MTS converter?

Currenlty I use a software called Emicsoft to convert my MTS files to WMV for use in Movie Maker. However, when I convert, my reds in the video pulsate wildly after they original MTS video file is converted to WMV. Can anyone recommend a good software converter that does not monkey with the look of your original video upon conversion?

I have just tried Freemake Video http://download.cnet.com/Freemake-Vi...-75218346.html available for free on the internet, and so far it converts successfully (without the pulsating reds). The quality of the conversion from MTS to WMV with this software is exceptional.

You can also download the latest version directly from the Freemake website (www.freemake.com) and avoid any additional stuff that CNet tries to package with their downloads. Be sure to say "no" to any add-ons like browser toolbars, etc.

To get Windows Movie Maker working beautifully with AVCHD footage, the easy workaround is to transcode the .MTS to WMV, a format that Windows Movie Maker natively supports.

MTS or M2TS are extensions of the AVCHD. I always use the dvd converter to convert MTS to MOV, convert MTS to WMV, convert MTS to MP4 or convert MTS to MKV and more.
