Saving Format
Posted: 05 Nov 2009 06:44 PM
I'm transferring old videos to DVD. I have software "analog" that I use to be able to bring DVD up in WMM. What I've read AVI is recommended format, but when I do that, it won't come up in WMM. The software gives me the option to save as WMM, and that works fine when I import it to WMM program, but the problem is that it takes hours to save as WMM. Any suggestions?

avi is a container than can hold over 800 different file types.
Of these you only want dv.avi.
Not many analogue converters give this choice.
WHat is the make of your hardware?

When you say WMM, do you mean WMV?
