Project will not publish without freezing

Now then people. I'm fairly new to this. I have managed to edit and publish one movie to DVD without any problems. Editing was fairly extensive. I edited about 3hrs of DV tapes into a 59 minute movie. As I said, no problems.
However, my second attempt and publishing keeps ending in failure. I've edited 11 hours of footage down to a two hour film. Whenever I try to publish it to my hard drive or to DVD it freezes at 28% or 22.3% respectively whilst encoding. I've looked on the 'tinterweb' for solutions and found none.
Any ideas anyone?

Welcome to the forums.
Are all of the videos in your second attempt also DV files? If they are, try breaking your project up into smaller pieces and see if you can then publish these as movies. If you can, import the peces into a new Movie Maker project, add them to the timeline/storyboard in the desired order, perform any final editing and publish this as your final movie. |
