Only fully accepts MPEG format!??!

For every other format (and I've exhausted the options) the file either can't be imported or only plays audio but no video. Arrrrrrgh. This is frustrating. I mean of all formats, you can only use the absolute worst one for editing.
Am I lacking the proper codec? |

Welcome to the forums.
Generally, converting your files to a compatible format (e.g., wmv, DV-AVI) is usually a better way to go than trying to install codecs. What file formats are you trying to use and whcih version of Vista and Movie Maker are you using? |
