Issue #190 - Sony ACID XPress
Posted: 19 Feb 2008 02:16 PM
With the limited features of Movie Maker in the area of music, and the difficulty in building a library of royalty-free and copyright-free music, it's always a good topic.

Sony offers ACID XPress as a free download... make your own, and start with sample projects... a couple free downloadable acd-zip files each week.

That'll be the topic for this week's newsletter.

For a sample... I did a remix of the audio part of my penquin nest-building flick, using the two current free ACID XPress sample project files from Sony. I ran them though the ACID XPress and rendered them to WMA files, perfect for Movie Maker and Photo Story.

It opens with original tune and then changes to the two Sony ones

Sony XPress - 2 Samples

The issue will be published by Feb 23 and be online for open viewing about May.

PapaJohn, I urge you to read kathokathos responses to my post under Capturing & Importing Media, Personal Lessons for cash. I understand he is a moderator and represents WMM. Is this the type of help this forum was set up for? Please advise.

Thanks,
AZwheeler

I read the thread yesterday, thru Kathy's post... and figured you and Magic-Rat were communicating on the sidelines, while her comment didn't pertain to what you were asking about.

I don't know how to advise.... I don't own this forum and Kathy is as much a moderator as I am. My take on reading the thread now is.... if I were her, I'd not have made her post... and would have deleted your last post without providing any comment... and moved on as I did to read other stuff.

I thought about asking you if you'd pay my travel expenses from Kalamazoo to give you a hand...
