Good question I was just trying to do the same thing.

I have a 40 sec video of a friend playing guitar and I want to insert still pics into various areas of the video without the audio from the video fading out or stopping completely because of the pics.

It seems you can ONLY do this twice...at the beginning of your video and the end. I want to insert about 12 pics through my 40 sec vid.

Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

Hi Allison.

1. Start by putting the video clip in your project as normal.

2. In the Timeline view, drag a copy of your clip onto the audio track. Make sure it's lined up with the original copy of the clip in the video track.

3. You can mute the video track now. It will still take the sound from the audio track.

4. Split the video clip at the begining and end of each point where you want to add pics. Delete the split bits, and replace them with the pics.

5. You'll have to adjust the length of each pic by hand, so it matches the split bit of video you've deleted.

Sorry for refreshing such old topic but i have similar problem.

Instruction is good but I have question to ponit 4.

Is there any posibility to make markers on timeline while listening to audio track. I also want to have some animation like moving picture. After that a just want to have posibility to simply replace pictures with other ones.

I want to make music slideshow like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NqppCyQ15OE and have it adjustable to other pictures for future purposes.

Or is there any program that can do such things.
