When I try to iinsert video effects on clip, Windows Movie Maker simply disappears and I am left with a desktop.

I dont know if i am in the right category here, but here goes. I made a movie utilizing Windows Movie Maker, but it was actually a photo show with musical background, in other words a movie made up of photographs with a soundtrack.
I publilshed it to the web with Mdeo and the soundtrack played perfect but the pics were blurred. I was wondering what causes this and if the size of the photos have a bearing on this, if they need to be compressed, or enlarged(which would only add ...

I think i may have self-helped myself with the problem. the original pictures were photo quality, but I noticed on Mydeo settings that it indicated that speed must be at least 70 kbps on a broadband connection and i only have dial-up with maximum speed of 45.2 kbps, so this may be the problem insofar as streaming is concerned. But when I was saving the original movie and trying to publish it, there was a section that indicated "allowing streaming" and i may have to look into that ...

Another thing when i watch the movie on skin mode, the pics dont take up the full screen and are in odd places as if they are not large enough for the screen. If you want to see what i mean here is the link

Is there a way to import movies made with digital camera in a format that can be burned using Nero 7 Ultra or another burn program.

Indications are that it is a MVI format.

2nd question pertaining to the first. Does Windows Movie Maker accept MVI or do I go the same route using SUPER and where do i get this codec you are mentioning.

Having difficulty downloading SUPER C software, I have cliked on "Download and Use", but no download dialogue box is opening up and all I get is advertisement for NCH Video Converter. and some listings of requirements.

When I follow the link and place my cursor over "Here", nothing happens and the hand doesn't appear when I put mouse over "Here"
However explain something to me MSIE cache. Is that the same cache that appears on dropdown list under Windows XP "tools" .
and what is "HTTP_referrer?

Ok one more thing SUPER C is on my computer, but I notice there is no help files, do I have to go to Papa John's for any assistance in using this program?

I have followed the link for FORUMS by am having difficulty in getting the forums to load up. It seems to take quite a while with indication that "Please wait while data base is loading" and this goes on for minutes, while at the bottom of my screen left hand corner says "Done".

Further to retexan599 instructions to convert vob. files to avi using VirtualDub. I have followed instructions but when I select "Open File" the program will not accept the vob. or TS_ file.

Well I've downloaded VirtualDub MPEG2 and have gone through the operations. Is it normal for the conversion(Save as AVI) for a 48.75 mg clip with a duration of approximately 30 minutes to take 3 hours and 39 minutes to complete the operation? The setting was at normal.

oK Here is what I have done . I have downloaded VirtualDub MPEG2. I opened and parsed the file then opened the file which was a "TS_01_01 vob." file/ Went to Compression selected this, then selected Audion Source File and then "Save As" AVI COMPRESSED FILES" Which is a folder I chose to save it in.
After 2 hours and 45 minutes of computer time taken up, now Windows Movie Maker wont' open the file, and properties of the file indicate that is still a ...

I am using Windows XP Pro with Movie Maker 2 and I will try and use smaller files and maybe that will work out for me.

I am considering downloading VirtualDub program, but which on do I download, I see there are several versions with recent builds which they designate one as being experimental.
Version 1.80(Experimental Build 29393
etc. which one
all the above indicated on Virtual Dub Digital Digest website.

Well I have it downloaded and extracted and now on my system in a folder and have browsed the different operations, but fail to see where I go to convert from wav. or vob. to avi.
Also bad news regarding 32 bit O.S. trying to operated for 64 bit requirement.
Please advise and note that I am running Windows XP Professional with 512 megs and Service Pack 3. 1.61 Ghz.

I don't know if this has anything to do with Movie Maker program, but I have been received occasion emails with attachements which show a slide show with soundtrack in the background and it seems to me they may be done using Powerpoint, but I was wondering how they do that and if in fact Movie Maker may be used to do this sort of thing rather than Powerpoint.
