1.Windows Movie Maker for Windows 10
Posted by Turquoise on 5/1/2019 11:01:25 AM
Dear Friends,
I have been using Windows Movie Maker for years on my Windows XP computer.
Yesterday I got a new computer with Windows 10.
As far as I can tell, Windows 10 does not come with Windows Movie Maker.
Could someone please tell me how to obtain Windows Movie Maker for my Windows 10 computer?
I will be very grateful.
Thank you.
Sandy

How to get Windows Movie Maker 6.0 on Windows 7, 8, 8.1 or 10

The following is from Blaine's Movie Maker Blog website:

https://movies.blainesville.com/p/wmm-60-on-windows-7.html

The good news is you can still use the latest version of Windows Movie Maker 6.0 from Vista. You can do this manually by copying the files from a Vista machine, registering some DLLs and creating a shortcut in your start menu. Or you can just use the installers I ...

4.My Collections are gone
Posted by Turquoise on 12/18/2015 1:00:36 AM
I just went into Windows Movie Maker and my Collections are gone.
A while ago I was having trouble with a program. I was advised to delete my history in Firefox.
Did that delete my Collections?
Can I get them back?
Thanks.

7.How to put a Windows Movie Maker movie onto an IPOD Classic
Posted by turquoise on 7/25/2012 8:37:19 PM
I made a movie using Windows Movie Maker. It is a wmv file.
My goal is to put this wmv movie onto my Ipod Classic.
Here is the approach I used:
I used Freemake Video Converter to convert this wmv file to an MP4 file.
I was able to put the MP4 file into Itunes, but I was not able to get
this file from Itunes into my Ipod.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.
Thanks so much!

9.keep title with picture 5 when deleting picture 3
Posted by turquoise on 4/11/2012 3:03:39 PM
I am using Windows Movie Maker with Windows XP.
Say I have 10 pictures, with a title on picture 5.
If I delete picture 3, then the title that picture 5 had is now on picture 6,
as the pictures “slide” to the left, but the titles don’t move.

Is there a way to delete picture 3 and keep the title that is on picture 5 on picture 5?

I know that I can cut and paste the title back to picture 5, but this is
tedious if you need to do ...

Thank you Blaine! The trick of moving the group will indeed be very helpful.
I am deleting 2 pictures from the start of my 30 picture movie (with a dozen titles)
and using your trick will allow me to align the titles in one move.
I will use it right now.
I really appreciate your sharing your expertise.

Indeed, it worked nicely.
Also, I learned from your response that I don't need to
cut and paste an individual title (using menus),
but I can drag one selected title.
Much easier.
12.Imported an MP3 music file. Having trouble ending the music with the pictures.
Posted by turquoise on 1/15/2012 6:05:15 PM
I imported all my pictures and one music file into Windows Movie Maker.
The song was longer than my picture slideshow.
So I used the Clip, Set End Trim Point to shorten the music.
When I play the musical slideshow in Windows Movie Maker, the pictures and music end together.
However, when I save the project as a movie file and then play the movie, the music continues for a few seconds after the pictures have stopped.
I want the pictures and music to end ...

Thank you Blaine!
You really know your stuff!
I used, following your suggestion, Freemake Audio Converter to convert the file to .wma format.
I redid the musical slideshow with the .wma file and it worked like a charm!
I am so delighted as I have had this issue for a while and had no clue as to what was going on.
You are an expert in your field!
