Consider Windows Movie Maker like you do Microsoft Sound Recorder. It's a very small application (only a couple mb) and is intergrated into The Windows XP Operating System. There is no uninstall and it doesnt take up any resources by leaving alone. The only time it will run is when you launch the moviemak.exe.
There are ways to uninstall it, but why bother since it doesnt hurt anything. If it's disk space you are looking for then I suggest running the disk cleanup wizard under ...

I own a Mac and a PC but unfortunately I spend most of my time using my PC. Part of the problem with Apple computers are the cost. I can buy a PC for sub-$500.00 but a Mac will cost me 4-times that.

You should create a VCD.. Most DVD players can play them but you are limited to only 600mb of space vs. a DVD tht will give you, I believe 4gb.
Read more here on how to create a VCD.

Hi Richard.
Do a search on Google.com for, Video Tape Repair, or contact a local VCR repair shop. It is a very common practice but without the right tools and supplies you may make it worse.
Here is some information from another website I found using google.

This might not be realted to your problem, but I was having a problem like yours until I lowered the resolution on my monitor down. I was running 1600x1200 and once I lowered it the video wasn't jumpy anymore. I don't think that ny video card was able to handle that high res while playing video.
