Tell here to select DV-AVI under the more settings option when saving her Movie Maker video.. This will give you the best quality and is compatible with most external VCD burning applicatons. Movie Maker cannot save to MPEG so if you'll be needing that format, your'e going to have to take the DV-AVI and convert it.

Some PC MFG's put a sticker on the PC that contains the Windows Key on it... Just thought I'd chime in incase the obvious was missed.

But if you do buy a new XP version, I highly recommend getting Windows Media Center Edition 2005. You can get a bundled version that includes the OS, TV-card and remote from stores like this http://www.pcalchemy.com/index.php/cName/mce-bundles. At least it will make ...

My guess.

22.Re: INSTERTING captured screen data
Posted by RipIT on 10/24/2004 11:31:46 AM
Is the other program capturing the video at a smaller resolution and you are trying to enlarge it within Movie Maker?

23.Re: Very poor AVI Quality
Posted by RipIT on 8/13/2004 9:26:10 AM
What is the resolution of the original source video?

I've seen this to be a common problem - If the resolution of the source is ex.. 240x 200 and you save it as DV-AVI 700x600(Example sizes) then the source video will be stretched thus losing video quality.
