Posted by Flicks on 2/14/2006 7:32:53 PM
I've noticed a lot of y'all are Microsoft MVPs and wanted to know what you get besides the title?

I understand that you're not employees, but wondered why you have the recognition and what rewards, if any, you recieve along with the Microsoft MVP title?

Sorry for being curious.

Dude, I wish I had an answer, but I don't.

Next time break up your movie into smaller portions like the movie industry does.

Go check out PapaJonh's site under the "Problem Solving - Can't Save My Movie Section.

Good luck!

8.Re: File Uploading Places.....

Some providers restirct the types of files that can be uploaded to your personal web space. So if you have issues uploading movies that could be the culprit.

Nice job. I really enjoyed it.

I'm curious. How many images did it take to complete that or did you use something else?

See http://www.videohelp.com . Search for Rip DVD or Copy DVD.

Also I noticed that the ads on top of this page had references to a few products that would rip DVDs.

Posted by Flicks on 2/24/2005 7:12:35 PM
It would be tough, but you can try seperating the audio and saving it a .wma file, then importing back into Movie Maker and add the slow down effect to the video portion.

If your'e serious about non-professional video editing then buy a Mac. iMovie is an fantastic program. http://www.apple.com/ilife/imovie/

Otherwise you might want to step up to Adobe Premier for the PC. Just be prepared for a big learning curve.

21.World of Warcraft and Movies
Posted by Flicks on 11/20/2004 10:06:17 AM
I'm not sure how many of you enjoy games, but World of Warcraft will be the best game in years.

The landscapes are wonderful and I'm hoping to see many in-game movies created by Windows Movie Maker fans. In-game movies are becoming very popular since you can control the character and choose from hundreds of emotes to act within your movies storyline. I've even read on thier forums that there will be WoW movie festivals.

You can learn more about the game here ...

25.Re: What is a Codec?
Posted by Flicks on 10/31/2004 3:31:21 PM
Codec is short for compressor/decompressor. An algorithm or scheme used when recording digital video or audio. A codec is used, for example, when video is transmitted over the Internet; the video is compressed on the sending end and decompressed on the receiving end. Windows Media Tools provides a choice of codecs for ASF content. Users can select a codec based on the audio or image quality, and image size preferred.
