5.Where do you shop on the Net?
Posted by Barb on 8/7/2003 10:44:41 AM
I am curious to where others buy items(small purchases) on the internet. I seem to keep buying my software, music and nicknacks from Amazon.com since I can find the items cheaper there. I also am seeing that a lot of websites that provide links to the items being sold on Amazon.

Take BabiesRUs.com for example, their website redirects to amazon.com's baby store sponsored by BabiesRUs.

I am also noticing Target, Circuit City and other major retailers that sell ...

Posted by Barb on 10/27/2005 7:45:25 PM
The Windows Movie Maker section at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_Movie_Maker is pretty bare when it comes to content. I see that PapaJohn and this site is listed, but not much else.

I'm going to try to add some links to the Wikipedia, but I'm hoping that some of the regulars here who know a lot more about Movie Maker can do a better job. We definately need to reference the creation of custom ...

Nice vids =)

I am not a gamer, but I do appriciate your creations.

You should post your links under the user showcase area so they don't get buried within the tech support threads. They are really unique and worth showcasing.

11.Re: need scary music and sound effects
Posted by Barb on 10/11/2005 8:01:43 PM
Okay, I just downloaded those Sonnboo soundtracks, and boy did they all blow. I've created better music with Photo Story 3 than that.

My 2 cents.

Go read www.papajohn.org. Look under problem solving - Cant Save Movie. He has a bunch of tips listed there that you can do to troubleshoot the issue. It's a lot of reading, but if you really wan't to address your problem. then I suggest reading/trying them all.

Good luck.
16.Re: Framerate
Posted by Barb on 7/15/2005 4:44:09 PM
If you split up the slow clips, you should be able to select multiple at once and right click to apply the speed-up effect. Make sure youre using the timeline view.
17.Re: can i have music and the video music
Posted by Barb on 2/25/2005 10:58:48 AM
Yes - Cut the clip that you want to hear and mute the sound on the rest of the video.

About 1/2 way down the page this link shows how to cut a video clip.

18.Re: making the text on my credits more appealing
Posted by Barb on 2/25/2005 11:02:30 AM
Instead of using the Movie maker credits text, you can make images in PhotoShop or another image editing tool and import them into Movie Maker as JPEGs for the credits. By doing that you can get pretty fancy.

You might find more help here: Sony Village.

On a side note older laptops have very slow hard drives. Maybe the drive cannot keep up with the video stream. Also try defragging the drive to improve it's performance. They are some basic tips here: How to improve video capture

Posted by Barb on 12/16/2003 8:09:40 AM
Using Google.com I typed in "Movie WAV" and the first result was this: MovieWavs.com..

I am sure there are hundreds of others if you search more.
21.Re: Weird one!
Posted by Barb on 12/16/2003 8:12:08 AM
That is strange... Do you possibly have some effects applied that are causing this? Have you tried removing and then adding the pics again?
22.Re: Run video on top a static image
Posted by Barb on 10/27/2004 7:32:48 PM
The best I can think of would be to split the clips and add the image between them. You would then drag the video to overlap the image on each side while in timeline view.

I dont think it's going to give you the effect that you want, but it may come close.

If you are working with small source files, then yes when they are blown up within Movie Maker they will appear blurry. What is the resolution of these images?
